Join us for an incredible evening featuring a modern, guitar-based concert with various guest artists and instrumentation including flute, violin, marimba, double bass, vocals, vocal ensemble, and more! This colourful and inspiring showcase represents the peak of a year-long journey for musician (Noel Amante) and guitar-builder (Cliff Regino) who have re-discovered a deep joy for their craft and relayed this process from start to finish in a documentary titled, "GuitarBorn Project". Those in attendance at this evening's performance will also be taking part in the world premier of this AFA supported documentary.*

GuitarBorn Project is the true-telling of two friends with full plates, families, and careers, who seek a greater fulfillment in creative growth by pushing the limits of their "conventional" life -- Cliff Regino, an artisan guitar-maker who has been hand crafting his first classical instrument for a close friend; and Noel Amante, the recipient of this guitar, who revisits his dormant skills as a classical guitarist to prepare for the instrument's first performance on stage at the world-class Bella Concert Hall in Calgary, AB.
Our greatest hope is that this showcase will inspire its audience to pursue their own creative passions regardless of the life path they have already chosen, and that we will be able to create a movement behind the belief that a fulfilling life is derived from creative exploration and ambition.
*The GuitarBorn Project is the proud recipient of a "Visual Arts and New Media" Project Grant through the Alberta Foundation for the Arts (www.affta.ab.ca) for the video production of this short documentary.

Both Cliff and Noel have endured recent experiences with Cardiac Sciences Innovation and the Neonatal Intensive Care Units respectively in their personal lives, and we believe Mental Health Initiatives align well with GBP's mission to bring awareness to the positive impact a creative pursuit can have in anyone's life.
